The Quakertown Walmart has a surprise asset and it located in the back of the store

Dear Readers,
I promised you 5 minutes a day and I have not been delivering.  Recently, I was at a friends BBQ and my friend Kristen asked me if I had written any more blog posts since my blog went public on Tuesday and I told her that I had not.  I have not been doing what I set out to do and now that this blog is public I have people to hold me accountable.  So thank you Kristen, I will try harder.

But I do not think that publishing every day for me is doable.  So I will work for at least 5 minutes a day on this blog but I cannot say I will publish every day or even every three days.  Dear Readers, I will try my best and that is my promise to you and to me.

I enjoy silliness and sometimes my posts will be lighthearted.  For example, I enjoy a really nice bathroom.  One time about two years ago, I took two of my sisters to Longwood Gardens on a rainy day, which did kept us inside in a place that is meant to be experienced both inside and outside.  We saw beautiful water platters, amazing treehouses, and spectacular gardens.  However, one thing we could not stop raving about were the bathrooms in the Conservatory.  The ones that we raved about were located in a long row near an fern covered hallway.  The were new age-y in their decor, like something out of a science fiction story and of course very clean.  We could not stop raving about the bathrooms.  Then we went home and googled Longwood Gardens.  It turned out Longwood Garden has award winning bathrooms.  Their bathrooms won a national contest.  Here is a link to just one of the many articles about their award winning bathrooms.

So I think myself qualified to notice a  great bathroom.

What I want to address today is the fact that the bathrooms in the back of the store at the Quakertown Walmart are really pretty surprisingly great and they deserve a shout out.
Here are some reasons why.

  1. First of all, the bathroom entrance is wide enough to fit a shopping cart inside easily.  This is important because usually Patrick is riding in the basket of the shopping cart and I do not really like to take him out to go into the bathroom.  He gets into a lot of things and I don’t want him doing that in the bathroom.
  2. Secondly, it is a new looking or newly remodeled  bathroom so it has a really clean feel.  It reminds me of the bathroom in a Home Depot store, which I say you really must check out.
  3. It seems like they are trying to make it a nice environment.  The bathroom has wall vases that contain artificial purple and white flowers that are really a nice touch. (See images below)
  4. The handicap stall is very wide and can fit a shopping cart inside and contains a child seat.  I think the childseat is a nice touch because I could put Patrick in it if I took him out of the cart. (see pictures below)
  5. The changing table is new-ish, clean, and sturdy seeming. This is important because my boy is not little.  I like a sturdy changing table.
  6. When I am in this bathroom I feel like I am in a Wegmans store. It might even be better than a Wegmans bathroom and that is saying something.  I give Walmart high praise, high praise indeed for the bathroom in the back of the Quakertown store.
