Yesterday, I told you about some of the adventures we had in August. After we returned home from western Pennsylvania, life kept happening. We had Baby Nugget baptized and celebrated his baptism with a party.
In September we visited an interesting and free playground and playhouse with friends called the Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse. It is located in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on a property and mansion that was donated for the enjoyment of children and families. Admission is free though donations are appreciated. The playground is closed on Mondays and is not open in the evenings so be sure to check out the website if you plan to travel there.
It does have a huge playground with many sections of equipment. We enjoyed going down the large wooden slide on burlap sacks,
We enjoyed the equipment outside too.
There is also a huge playhouse for children 5 and under with three levels. The basement level houses a car track and riding toys.
The middle level has train tables, Lincoln logs, and party rooms. The upper level is dedicated to imaginative play and baby toys.
We had a lot of fun there and I would recommend the trip. More to come on what I have been up to.
That looks like a lot of fun, Katie!
