A Visit To the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia

A little over a week ago, Mr. Katie, the boys and I took a trip to Philadelphia (about an hour a way) to visit the Please Touch Museum.

We had not visited the Please Touch Museum (PTM) since Mr. Man was newly 2.5 and Preschool Nugget was a newborn Nugget.

The last time we had visited the Please Touch Museum Mr. Man was just a little guy and Preschool Nugget was a newborn Nugget.

My how they grow up.

Here is a picture of 7 year old Mr. Man and an almost 5 year old Preschool Nugget before we went inside the Please Touch Museum.

I wanted to share some pictures from out trip last weekend. Preschool Nugget only had eyes for the transportation area of the PTM. Here he is driving the bus.

He loved driving the bus. So did everyone else in the 2-5 age range.
The steps on the model bus are dirty just like a real city bus.

Preschool Nugget was a big fan of all the automotive related attractions in any case.

Preschool Nugget must have climbed into this car at least 30 times during our visit.
The Please Touch Museum Trolley was also a big hit.

Mr. Man’s favorite PLM activities were very social in nature, just like Mr. Man. He especially liked having “jobs” and telling other participants what to do.

Mr. Man enjoyed collaborating with other museum visitors in working at the model grocery store inside the museum.
Mr. Man also very much enjoyed taking orders at the Ice Cream Station.
Here is Mr. Man posing inside of a dollar bill in the bank portion of the museum.

Both boys were big fans of riding the full sized carousel inside the PTM. It was orginally built in 1908 and orginally housed across the street from where it currently lives insie the Please Touch Museum.

Preschool Nugget looking up in wonder.
When Pig’s Fly is literally at play here and so is Mr. Man.

Hopefully, we will make it back to the Please Touch Museum before the boys are too old to enjoy it. It is quite a gem.
