2023 has been a year for me that had a lot of things happen. As many of you know, my beloved father passed away earlier this month. I am not ready yet to write about him and that experience.
However, I do love end of the year lists and best of that come out this time of year. So I thought that maybe I would try my hand at that.
What Books Did you Reading this year?
Here is a gallery of book covers of books that I finished in 2023 from my Goodreads Account
Didn’t you already write some blog posts about some of the books that you read this year?
Yes, I did. If you are interested in going back and reading those here they are:
West With Giraffes By Lynda Rutledge
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner
Did I reach my Goodreads goal this year?
In a word, yes. I set a goal of reading 25 books and I read 27 books. This is not counting the numerous books that I read out loud to my children. Maybe some day I will add those into my reading goal, but I haven’t yet so I did not count those.
Also here is a link to the post that I wrote in January 2023 at my reading goals for 2023.
I am proud to have met my goal and I think that I will give myself a stretch goal in 2024. I would like to challenge myself to read 30 books in 2024.
Will You Be Coming Out With a Best Books That You Read in 2023 List?
I do plan on writing that type of post. I am going to consider my choices and release my list later this week. Be on the look out for that!
