Did you know that our family’s nickname is Schnicklefritz? We learned this term because at least one time, when Mr. Man was a toddler, his baby music class teacher affectionately called him a “Schnicklefritz”. In class, he was always up to something like opening the emergency exit in the room, which made the fire alarm go off and caused everyone in the library to have to evacuate. Good times! He also used to sometimes play with the speaker during class, while he was walking around, which made the music turn off in the middle of the lesson, which I am sure was kind of annoying. But she never seemed to show it.
Fun Fact, she is also the person who gave him the nickname “Mr. Man”, as in “Mr. Man, what are you up to?” Later, she changed jobs and became Nugget’s preschool teacher when he was in the four-year-old class. She is still one of our favorites and we talk about her to this day! Occasionally, we see her around town walking her dogs and she always askes about the boys.
A Schnicklefritz is a Pennsylvania Dutch word for a “mischievous child or lovable rascal”. I think this word fits out family because we are of German heritage and geographically are in PA Dutch Country and we are mischievous!
We are also selling popcorn this month for BSA Scouting. Mr. Man and Nugget are Webelos and Wolves, respectively, and are in the same pack. Last year was our first year selling popcorn. The platform where we sell popcorn has some features that I was still figuring out last year. It is hard to switch between profiles when I share the links to the boys individual pages on the selling website. Last year, I shared Nugget’s profile. So this year, I will share Mr. Man’s profile. I have method for making it equal, so don’t worry about purchasing from one boy and not the other if you chose to buy popcorn.
If you wish to purchase popcorn, here is the link to Mr. Man’s popcorn selling page for Cub Scouts.
Both boys are getting a lot of their scouting experiences. They enjoy going to the meetings, which happen about 3x a month. The participate in the service projects like Scouting For Food, a yearly food drive. They made cars last year for the Pinewood Derby. Mr. Katie is a den leader for the Webelos (We Be Loyal Scouts, in case you are wondering what WEBELO stands for). Last summer, both Mr. Man and Nugget attended Camp Minsi in the Poconos with Mr. Katie and other members of their pack.

There is no pressure to make a purchase, I just wanted to share that this is something that our family is doing right now. Thank you and have a great day 🙂
I put in my order. AJeanne
