My Christmas Letter

Dear Friends,

I did not send out a Christmas letter this year, so here today I shall write one. Part of my reason for writing a Christmas letter is so that I can share this AI picture of our family as dogs with all of you. You can see it at the bottom of this post.

Here are some highlights from this year:

-Mr. Man transitioned from his elementary school to the intermediate school by moving from 3rd grade to 4th grade this fall. For this current school year, he, and Nugget go to different schools. Nugget started 2nd grade this fall.

– Nugget sang with his 2nd grade class in their holiday choral concert recently. To our surprise, he came to the front of the stage for one of the musical numbers and performed a choreographed dance with a handful of other schoolmates. We had no idea that this was going to happen. It was very heartwarming.

-Mr. Katie and the boys attended Camp Minsi, a Scout camp, in the Poconos in June for a week with their pack. Mr. Katie is an assistant den leader for the Webelos. Mr. Man is a Webelo and Nugget is a Wolf rank Cub Scout.

-Mr. Man received the sacrament of First Holy Communion this past May with his catechism class.

-Mr. Man started playing the trombone this past school year and will have band concert this coming spring.

-I was a teacher’s assistant for Nugget’s catechism class last school year and this school year I am the main teacher for his second-grade class.

-Nugget took swimming lessons last winter and spring. This winter he enjoys participating in CYO basketball on Saturday mornings.

-Mr. Man joined a First Lego League, FLL, team at his intermediate school this year. He gained some coding skills. I was one of the two coaches for the team. Our team, the Dirty Roosters and a Hen competed against 23 other teams from across the eastern PA region this past month.

-We are excited for new adventures in 2026:

-In January 2026, I will begin teaching an online class for the Library and Technical Assistant program at Northampton Community College.

-In January, Mr. Katie will be traveling to France for a week for meetings for his workplace.

-Mr. Man hopes to start karate classes in the new year.

-Nugget hopes to continue on with swimming lessons.

-We also hope to continue on with adventuring around our little corner of the world.

I hope that you have a happy holiday season!

Merry Christmas if you celebrate.

Yours,

Katie

  1. Sounds like you guys had a very exciting year and a great year to come as well! I’m glad to hear that the boys have enjoyed their scouting and their different musical activities. And how exciting that Mr. Man wants to start karate! It’s a great sport.

    1. Hi Katie, Thank you for your comments. Regarding karate, maybe he just saw pictures of you and Annabelle doing it and is wanting to follow in your footsteps.
