Recently, I read the New York Times Opinion newsletter and I learned about vnutrennaya emigratsia “a term the Russians use to describe their “internal exiles,” people so disillusioned by the chaos around them that they turn away from politics to the comfort of their family, to the refuge of books and art.”
Is this what I have been doing lately? Have I found the word to describe it?

Yesterday, our friends invited us to join them at the WK&S Railroad for a special dog inclusive train ride. It was a one day only event.

Our borough had trick-or-treating last Friday night, the same day as their school parade. We also enjoyed Boo at the Zoo in Philadelphia last Saturday.
