7 Ways You Know It Is Almost Mid-January

This was me, 10 days ago.
  1. You say to yourself, “I can’t believe that it is January 10th already, but also I can because I feel like I have worked harder in these part 10 days than I have since last year at the beginning of January.”
  2. Your back hurts and you have woken up before 6:00 am the past few mornings to get stuff done.
  3. You can almost write 2019 on things without thinking, “I can’t believe it is 2019 already. I thought 2019 was reserved for battery packages and ramen noodle expiration dates.”
  4. You are still working on your New Year’s Resolutions but you are beginning to realize that if you work on all your New Year’s Resolutions everyday you have very little time left for messing around on Facebook and it is starting to make you a little sad.
  5. The New Year’s clearance sales are over but things are just starting to heat up for the pre-Martin Luther King Jr. sales and even though you have vowed to de-clutter in the new year and you are proud that you resisted the siren’s song of the holiday clearance sales you can’t help wondering they are selling anything you need online.
  6. Your favorite shows are coming back any day now with new episodes and they have been letting you know that they are almost returning almost any day now on every outlet available including the radio, Instagram, commercials during other shows and digital billboards along the highways.
  7. You are hanging on because your favorite show will be coming back today! Thank you Good Place for coming back tonight! I miss you 🙂

  1. Your post makes me feel joy for January, ( even though it’s still number 2 in most hated months of the year, February holding the number 1 spot)- I feel a bit of hope that this January won’t be as horrible as Januarys in the past

  2. For 2019, I’m trying to figure out how to quite social media and still stay on top of events and promote my blog posts. I feel as if a lot of people are talking at each other, but not to each other. I’m really frustrated because I feel as if I am invisible. The only people who actually personally reach out to me (as opposed to just posting stuff on Facebook on the change that I will see it) are Grandma and my sisters.

  3. I have to say: One of the things that I love about winter is having days where I don’t have to be anywhere, and I can just settle down for the entire day with a book or a podcast!

  4. You are so amazing! I love your blog and you are absolutely correct that it is hard to picture 2019 let alone write it down! I am just lucky to have you in my 2019! Go Girl!

  5. So I’ve been thinking about the 2018-19 government shutdown and the President’s wish to present a State of the Union address. From what I understand, the Capitol Buiding’s janitors have been furloughed. So, if they have a State of the Union address, who do they expect to clean up after all of these people? Are we going to tell all of the Senators and Congresspeople that they have to carry out all of the trash (their candy wrappers, etc) that they made when they were in the building? Who is going to make sure that the restrooms in the Capitol Building have enough toilet paper?
