You’ll know me. I love making a list. Also I love the pumpkin spice season. Especially the pumpkin spice products. I didn’t think about it till recently but thinking about seasonal products is a big topic for me on this blog.

However, I might have been doing you all a disservice because fall foods are more than just pumpkin spice.
And thought, I have blogged about it less, the fall season is more than just picking apples and visiting pumpkin patches.
I just think that it is really important to think beyond the vision of drinking a pumpkin spice latte while strolling through a pumpkin patch or going apple picking.
That’s why I created my original list highlighting: 18 Food and Activity Pairings Outside of the Pumpkin Spice Realm
But then I got to thinking, what if I missed something? Fall is such a special time. There is a lot to do in the fall. Also there are so many great foods that a person could indulge in at this time of year.
That’s when I knew that I would have to create a new list. So without further ado. I give you.
18 More! Food and Activity Pairings Outside of the Pumpkin Spice Realm:
- Whip-up some grilled summer squash with tzatziki, creamy carnaroli rice & olives and treat yourself while cleaning and storing your outdoor furniture.
- Basque in preparing yourself a butternut squash bisque to enjoy after you finish cleaning your gutters and downspouts.
- Preparing some espresso for a Cinnamon Crunch latte is the perfect reward for changing your smoke detector batteries.
- A Tomato Carpaccio with yellow tomatoes, nardello puree, and ground cherries is the perfect antidote after a long day spent volunteering at a food bank
- Recharge after a fall photo shoot by preparing or ordering in a pear (or peach or any stone fruit really) tarte tatin. You energy will be restored in no time.
- At the end of a beautiful fall horseback ride, nothing satisfies quite like a classic duck with plum sauce.
