A Short Little Tractor Story

I was going through my phone’s pictures and I remembered a little funny happening from last week.

Kindergarten Nugget got this tractor tent as a gift early in March. Maybe you have already fogotten because it is not April but it was a rather windy March, or maybe it was just March being March, but is seemed windy. I bring this up because this is a fact that will come into the story later.

Kindergarten Nugget was having some fun pretending to tow his tractor tent with his actual toy tractor in the photo above. That photo was taken on Saturday, March 16th. Probably other things happened in the course of that day. I am sure there was a time when Kindergarten Nugget came inside for tablet time and we all forgot what was happening in the yard during tractor play time. Also I am not the most type A person in the world so I didn’t think anything of it when I hadn’t seen the tractor tent in a few days. We sometimes keep the tractor tent stored in the basement when he isn’t using it because it it takes up some space. Life went on. The boys had school on Monday and we had our usual lineup of evening activities.

Strangely enough though, on March 25th I was walking thru the parking lot behind our house near the tree circled in red in the above picture. As I was walking, I noticed something out of the ordinary. It was an object that was on the larger side that was green and fabric looking. It was in the thorny bushes near the tree in the picture.

I investigated a little and realized that it was indeed Kindergarten Nugget’s tractor tent. I gingerly removed the tent and walked it home. It was around 3:00 pm on a Monday afternoon. Nobody even saw me walk it home. It wasn’t harmed in the least and the yellow horn noise box still worked. I don’t know when it blew away, maybe it was on the afternoon that this picture was taken. But now it is in our custody again and nobody in my family even noticed that it was gone. I told them what happened but honestly, I could have not told them and it would have been my own funny little knowledge.

    1. It was very lucky. It is funny to see something that you see as belonging to your family out in public

  1. Several years ago ( I think it was Kindergarten Nuggets first birthday, we returned home to find that we had a wild wind storm/ our cover was blown completely off our pool- but luckily got caught on some nails in deck- but the huge pillow we kept in center, under the cover to keep cover from getting too much water in it, was gone – blown who knows where- I often wonder where that huge pillow ended up and if it’s caught in trees somewhere
