Hi Readers,
It’s been an entire month since I last published a post concerning my life.
I have now experienced a spring break week-off at both of my two community college jobs and I still did not find time to write on my blog. I am sorry, I don’t know where the time is going.
Sometimes when I go through a stretch of not posting, I have trouble posting again because time has passed and life has happened and I don’t know where to start and what to tell you.
I think what I will do is share a few posts over the next week or so of things that happened since we last connected.
During the weekend of March 13-15th, I traveled to Erie, PA (355 miles away) to help my youngest sister pick out her wedding dress. We had a great weekend of sisterly bonding (there are 5 of us sisters in total and all of us were there for this special weekend).
The ride there was not my favorite. As I mentioned before, my drive was around 350 miles. It should not have included many roads, just really three major interstate roads and very little else. I guess there was construction on I-80 so I ended up on a number of backroads in rural northwestern Pennsylvania for at least 150 miles of my drive. It was a very dark, windy, and somewhat rainy evening. I was very glad to arrive at my hotel.
However, the rest of my trip was great! I loved the rest of my trip, and the drive was almost forgotten as I wrote this post. We looked at dresses and saw my youngest sister model them. Afterward we went to fun brew pub in Erie and had a late lunch. We met my sister’s future mother-in-law and her sister and afterwards we had a fun time at the pool at our hotel. We had some great hanging out with drinks in the evening and a great breakfast both mornings at our hotel.

On the last day of my trip, I wanted to visit Lake Erie because I don’t get to see it very often living where I live. So, the sister that I was rooming with in Erie kindly agreed to wake up before the sun on Sunday morning. We drove a few miles from our hotel to the peninsula at Presque Isle State Park to check out the lake and take an early morning walk.
The picture on the left is a picture of me posing in the cold on the lake side of the peninsula. It was chilly that morning and a wind was blowing off of the lake. On the right side, you can see that there was still ice on the lake that day.

After we checked out the lake side, we drove back over to the bayside for a walk. It was a little warmer there and it didn’t feel nearly as windy.
Believe it or not, the temperature got up to 64 degrees before I left Erie at 11:40 am that morning. These pictures were taken around 8:00 am. It was really quite a change! Nice trip though!
Sounds like a great trip. Minus the terrible drive there.
