September Adventures

Rabbit, rabbit. . .

Somehow it is already October! Where has the time gone?

For the past month or so I have been writing posts about our trip in August to Scotland. It was fun and I have more pictures and stories to share. However, I wanted to get back to writing about my daily life adventures. I still plan on having some more posts about Scotland.

So, what have I been up to since getting back from Scotland in August?

-The boys started the new school year! You can see pictures here.

-I undertook a large decluttering project in my house that I am still working on. I enlisted the help of the entire household. When we have a rainy weekend day with nothing planned, we work on it together.

Our office bookshelf hasn’t looked this good in years. It brings a smile to my face!

-Mr. Man played his trombone with fellow intermediate school, middle school and high school band members in the annual Band In the Stands varsity football game last Friday night.

Mr. Man and other younger band members got to play with the high school in the stands at a home football game.

-On a September Monday that the boys had off from school, we visited Valley Forge National Historic Park. We had a great time exploring. We found a geocache while we were there. Mr. Man was very interested in this adventure because he has a budding interest in reading history-based graphic novels. Nugget liked climbing on the bunks in the soldiers’ cabins located around the park.

-We have been busy with Cub Scouts. We worked the Cub Scout food stand at our area’s Community Day two weekends ago. Mr. Katie and the boys worked hard selling macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches. I made mac and cheese in our crock pot. We also tried our hands at dunking the school principal in a dunk tank, petted baby goats, and explored the insides of a MedEvac helicopter that landed in a field at the event.

We petted small goats at the Community Day for our town in September.

-We also attended a September minor league baseball game for our local AAA MLB team. It was one of the last home games of the season.

-We have been spending time with Demi the dog. She hopefully barely remembers being away from us while we were in Scotland. We are together again and better than ever.

Nugget and Demi together again.
