Hi Friends,
It’s been a minute! Sometimes when I am preparing this blog, I think to myself, “I don’t really have that much to share, we don’t actually do that much.” Then when I am compiling the pictures, I realize that we actually do many things. Also sometimes I worry that this blog will come off as braggy or self-indulgent but I think ultimately people want to know what I have been up to.
The weather has been getting nicer then retreating back to winter weather then getting nice again.
On Friday, March 11th, the weather was beautiful and Mr. Man had an in-service day at school, so we ventured to the Park-SCI playground in North Wales. It is a little out of our normal playground area but it is a great playground that we ended up visiting for the whole afternoon. It is a true destination playground!
On the next day, Saturday, March 12th, we had a snow event. I had a haircut scheduled for that morning. I am sharing this picture so you can see how the weather changed on a dime. On March 11th, Preschool Nugget isn’t wearing shoes in one of the photos and on March 12th, I had trouble driving home from my haircut.
Mr. Katie smiled in this staged photo where he is trying to look very cultured. As you can see, he is reading the Atlantic while sipping brandy in a glass. The brandy was inherited.
We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day this week. Here is Mr. Man showing off his St. Patrick’s Day shirt. My mom liked the tradition of buying the boys St. Patrick’s Day shirts. (Mr. Katie’s mom also loved buying holiday shirts for the boys).
When I was a child, we had one family friend who was Irish and my mom always sent her a card. This friend was the only friend we knew who was of Irish descent. Thanks to DNA testing, my sister Liz found out that we are a little bit Irish on my mother’s side. My mother probably would have been pleased to find out that we were a little Irish all along!
On Saturday, I worked at the library and Mr. Katie and the boys had a “Mens’ Day” as Mr. Man would call it. They dined at Taco Bell one of their favorite eateries and had some pretty intense playground-ing.
On Sunday, I participated in a Shake Your Shamrock 8K . Here is a picture of me modeling the shirt that I made for my run. I wrote about my plans to run this race previously in this post.
The race was held near New Hope in the slightly hilly terrain near the Delaware River. If you ever find yourself near this area, you should defiantly check out the town of New Hope, PA. It is historic, trendy and has a lot of fun restaurants and shops as well as lovely scenery.
On Sunday, Mr. Katie put our corned beef and cabbage into the crock pot so we could have our Irish feast on Sunday night. I am not usually a fan of foodie pictures but I encouraged Mr. Katie to take this one.
Thank you for sharing my adventures! Have a great week.

I love the pictures, Katie. And it sounds like your family had some fun adventures over the last week or so. Congrats on your race too!
Thank you Katie!
Terrific as usual- I love visiting with you all through photos- almost as good as being with you all. What I’ve really noticed is how much the boys have grown this winter! The quite amazing young men these days. Your St. Patrick’s day meal looked delicious. Love to you all.
Hi Aunt Heidi,
We love you all too. The boys are both growing fast. They are tall for their age!
Love ya,
Katie
That’s my park! We live a few blocks away. Let me know if you guys head that way again 🙂 I don’t go there too often though bc it’s hard to keep track of both kids there by myself. Such a maze! But Luke loves it! He and the boys would have a great time
Hi Meghan, We will let you know! I hope all is good with you and your crew! Patrick and Henry would have fun with your little ones 🙂
Good job on the race, Katie!
Thank you Jenny!
